2025 Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Faith in Action Assembly

Community Renewal Society (CRS) hosted a powerful gathering honoring the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., bringing communities together to reflect, resist, and rejoice.

Our 2025 Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Faith in Action Assembly “The People’s Inauguration: The Sounds of Freedom” held even greater significance as it coincided with Martin Luther King Jr. Day and the United States Presidential Inauguration Day. In response to harmful rhetoric, we commemorated Dr. King’s transformative work while boldly opposing policies that undermine human dignity and equality.

This gathering featured phenomenal artists and performers whose voices and artistry inspired action and hope, including Tony Carpenter and the Toca LIVE! Jazz ensemble, CRS member congregation Trinity United Church of Christ choir ensemble Voices of Trinity, our incredible performers and MC’s for the day Jonathan Lykes and Laurence Minter, and our closing artists Common Hymnal and Malcolm London.

We thank everyone who was able to attend and appreciate your presence at this important moment.
