The Community Commission for Public Safety and Accountability (CCPSA) is required by law to review and recommend changes to the 2025 Chicago Police Department (CPD) budget before City Council votes to approve it.
CPD Deputy Director Ryan Fitzsimons will present their 2025 Budget, and the Commission will share budget recommendations.
Those unable to attend the meeting in-person can join virtually via Zoom.

The Commission allows for public comments at their monthly meetings. Each person will have up to two minutes to speak. A total of twenty minutes will be dedicated to public comment at each meeting. If you wish to speak during the virtual public comment period, kindly request to do so by reaching out to Community Commission staff by emailing CommunityCommissionPublicComment@cityofchicago.org. Those wishing to speaking during the meeting must provide their name in writing to the Commission staff between 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM. If the number of interested speakers exceeds the time dedicated to public comment, speakers will be selected by a random drawing.
