June 28 is Election Day! It's Important That You Vote!
Don’t forget to head to the polls or turn in your mail-in ballot on or before June 28th. Find your polling place here.
Through this primary election, voters have the opportunity to lay the foundation for the upcoming political landscape that will determine core issues affecting economic justice, criminal justice reform, healthcare access, and rights and protections for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. We understand that voting is not the only course of civic action that is available to us. However, the right to vote should not be taken for granted.
We care about a lot of things at CRS. Things like making sure that formerly incarcerated people re-enter society with resources to help them thrive and without barriers to gainful employment and safe housing. We care about reparations and the economy working for everyone, not just those who possess wealth. We care about protecting the rights and guarding the safety of members of the LBGTQIA+ community. We care about police accountability and ensuring that that our communities are safe for everyone, regardless of their skin color.
All of these things are affected by the decisions you make at the ballot box. It’s really that simple.

You don’t need to show identification to vote if you have voted before and have not moved.
You can register to vote on Election Day with two forms of ID, one including your home address.
Ballots are available in multiple languages.
If you have a record, you CAN still vote in Illinois as long as you aren’t currently serving time in a correctional institution.
Any Cook County resident may vote at the Chicago Board of elections site located at 191 N. Clark Street in Chicago. You can also vote in person June 26 or 27 at any of the 50 early voting sites.
Lastly, don’t skip voting for judicial candidates. Judges hold significant power on the local level. Here are judicial rating sites that can help inform your vote.
