The Affordable Care Act -- Need Help?

Since 2010, the Affordable Care Act has improved access to health care for millions of people. For the first time in U.S. history, quality health coverage will be available regardless of a person’s current health, income level or employment.

Are you wondering how the Affordable Care Act will affect you, your faith institution and your community?

Our partners at the Campaign for Better Health Care (CBHC) have several in-person counselors available throughout the state to answer questions about enrollment in the new Health Insurance Marketplace under the Affordable Care Act.

Contact the CBHC Faith Caucus to request an educational presentation or one-to-one counseling sessions at your church. CBHC offers a 40-60 minute presentation on eligibility, benefits, costs, and the process for signing up, with a question and answer session. Following that, counselors are available to help start the enrollment process with individuals – and small business owners (including church administrators) – for the rest of the event. In addition, in-person counselors are available to return to your congregation at a later date for personal enrollment clinics. The health care sign-up period extends from now until March 31, 2014. Contact Jessica Palys at 312-913-9449 or JPalys@cbhconline.org with questions or to schedule a presentation.
